illuminate U - Discovering Freedom
July 22nd, 2018
Discovering Freedom is designed to help you become who you were created and redeemed to be. In Christ, we have the ability to enjoy a high level of spiritual, emotional, relational, and physical freedom. Obstacles such as lack of understanding, fear, and unforgiveness can lead to uncontrolled emotions, compulsive thoughts, destructive behaviors, or broken relationships. All of these hinder our joy and spiritual power. Discovering Freedom teaches and assists us in engaging the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome these obstacles so that we can experience the abundant life that Jesus provided for us.

Family Vacation at Weeki Wachee Springs
August 4th, 2018
We're gearing up four our illuminate youth family vacation! We will be caravanning to Weeki Wachee Springs where we will enjoy kayaking, swimming, jumping and time together. It is a 4-mile kayaking trail in the crystal clear waters of the springs. This event is not just for our students, but also for any of their family that would like to come along.
We will meet at the illuminate youth building Saturday, August 4th. Please arrive BY 7:30 so we can check-in everyone appropriately and make sure all attendees have necessary transportation.
It is a two-hour drive to the state park where they have asked to arrive early for check-in and a quick informative demonstration.
7:30 am - Arrive at illuminate youth room
8 am - Departure
10 am - Arrival to State Park. During this time everyone will be able to apply sunscreen, pack necessary items, and prepare for the kayak trip as needed
10:30 am - Brief training/informational course by an instructor
11 am - Kayaks launched
3 pm - Arrive at exit ramp with shuttles back to our vehicles
3:30 pm - Bathroom breaks, change of clothes, etc. People can leave at their own pace at this point
3:45 pm - Returning to the illuminate youth room (some may not need to return to the office)
5:45 pm - Arrive at the illuminate youth room or return home if able
Please indicate in your registration if you are willing to be a driver for this event
If you have not filled out a consent form for 2018 please do so. If you're not sure please fill one out for certainty
These kayaks are $45 each, but you will see $22.50 when signing up. This is because two people will be signing up for ONE, therefore splitting the cost. i.e. you are signing up your two sons for a tandem and you don't understand why it is asking you to pay $22.50 twice. You will pay $45 because you have two students in a tandem.
What about lunch?
Please bring your own lunch (sandwiches, subs, snacks, etc) as well as water (plenty of it). You are permitted to bring a cooler NO LARGER THAN 14x14. The cooler cannot styrofoam and is not permitted to contain ANY glass.
What should I wear?
A swimsuit, hat, water shoes, suntan lotion, and insect repellent (if sensitive to insects). In addition, rain gear (if rain is expected) and a jacket for the cooler months.

The following items are not allowed on the Weeki Wachee River: alcoholic beverages, pets, inflatable inner tubes, rafts or similar flotation devices (inflatable kayaks or boats that are USCG approved are permitted only after Boating in Florida staff inspection), motorized vessels of any type, Styrofoam or glass items, and fireworks are all prohibited.

You’ll get the chance to meet and hear from Pastor Tim, hear about our history, and find out why we believe God’s greatest work is still being done right here in Central Florida. By the end of Discover illuminate, you’ll have every opportunity to know what Next Steps to take to get more connected and involved at illuminate church.
The event will be right after Sunday service at approximately 11:30 a.m. at our church office located at 1134 Celebration Blvd, Celebration, FL.
Note: If you register online, let us know the names of all who will be attending and if you will need childcare. Childcare is available for children ages 3-10. This way we will make sure we have plenty of food for everyone and enough childcare workers set to serve the children.
Baptisms (8 / 12)
August 12th, 2018
Baptism is a sacred practice where an individual gets to make a public declaration. In Baptism, each believer gets to tell the world, “I’m in.” In the family of God. In partnership with all Christ follower’s to tell the world about Jesus. In with heart, soul, and mind to support the local church.
In Baptism we have the joy to be buried in the water as Christ was buried in the grave and then be raised to newness of life. That’s a great celebration!
October 12th - October 14th, 2018
